Recurrent Events 8/6/16: Nintendo Power Magazine Archived Online, 'Splash' Gender Swap Remake, L.A.Law Reboot Might Happen

Welcome to your weekly news update for retro pop culture headlines, the Recurrent Events! Another week, another gender swap reboot...actually two!! I don't know, maybe it's me but the more that get announced the more this feels like a gimmick. I do like that they went the other way with Splash but just feels like Hollywood is pushing these swaps to get around the fact that it's just another remake.

Coming up next week, I dive into the Nintendo Power archive for an article. Also been awhile since I posted a Bodacious Breakdown so the search is on for a great music video to rediscover. I'm also looking for someone who might want to review a couple game apps and share on honest review for RD80s. Message me if you might be interested.

Here are the articles released this past week in cased you missed it:
Kids React is back with modern kids trying to figure out what exactly Blockbuster Video stores were! I could take it a step further and remember renting movies AND a top-loading VCR from our local mom-n-pop store.
