Welcome to another edition of The Weekly Links, your weekly source for the best '80s content on the web! Another week and another round of reboots and remake announcements. You know, maybe it would just be easier to reboot the entire decade of the '80s. Ditch our Blu-ray players for VCRs and iPods for LPs. Hasbro can reopen Kenner and give us all the cool toylines again. Girls can dress like Madonna and us guys can be Crockett and Tubbs. I'd be up for it.
Speaking of remakes, I delved into the music world this week and explored Hall & Oates hit "I Can't Go For That (No Can Do)" and the 40+ times its been sampled or covered over the last 34 years. It's has to be one of the most mimicked tracks of all time. That bass line just never gets old.

My choice for video of the week is the new trailer for the revamped Inspector Gadget series on Netflix. I have to admit that I'm intrigued and will be checking out the first episode this weekend. I was a big Get Smart fan as a kid and did enjoy the original Inspector Gadget series. If the new series has the spirit of the original (including his transforming car), then I don't think the new CGI look will bother me. Watch and give me your thoughts in the comments...
