Celebrating it's 40th anniversary in 2022 is the film that began the Rambo franchise. Starring Sylvester Stallone, Brian Denehy, and Richard Crenna, First Blood was a critically acclaimed film and box office success worldwide. Instead of fighting opponents in the boxing ring, Stallone was "fighting for his life" as stated in the movie trailer. The film featured Stallone as an ex Green Beret on the run from small town policemen who pushed him too far and now needs assistance from his former commander to bring him in.
I've always enjoyed the film and the two sequels released in the '80s. I recently got together with two friends from The Retro Network to rediscover First Blood on the TRN Drive-In podcast channel.
