New Inspector Gadget Live-Action Movie In Development

The Tracking Board is reporting that Disney and Lin Pictures are producing a new live-action Inspector Gadget film. The new movie will be a reboot and not continue the franchise that originally starred Matthew Broderick and French Stewart as the titular character.

The addition of Lin Pictures brings a pedigree of successful movies to the project like The LEGO Movie, the Sherlock Holmes franchise starring Robert Downey Jr., and Gangster Squad. The announcement is also on the heels of the new Inspector Gadget series released to Netflix in March 2015. No release date or potential actors were announced in the report.
