Coca-Cola is Bringing Back New Coke May 23 Thanks to Stranger Things 3

We are about 6 weeks away from season 3 of Stranger Things and the anticipation is growing. As summer quickly approaches and the release of the popular Netflix show, Coca-Cola has announced it will be adding to its Summer of '85 theme by bringing back New Coke!

Yes, the epic soda failure will triumphantly return tomorrow to the delight of all Stranger Things fans. According to Coke's official blog, New Coke will be featured in several episodes of the new season which you can see in the new "Coca-Cola First Love (Hawkins, Indiana)" promotional ad...

For us consumers, throwback cans and limited edition cans of current products will be produced in a "very limited promotional run." Beginning May 23 at 5pm eastern, CokeStore.com/1985 will flashback to 1985 and offer a special New Coke bundle that will include two 12 oz. New Coke cans (same 1985 recipe) along with a limited-edition and numbered Stranger Things/Coca-Cola and Coke Zero Sugar 8-oz. glass bottles. If you don't currently have a Coke Store account, sign up now and save 15% on your first order.

If you miss the bundle, fans can also find a “upside-down” Stranger Things-inspired vending machine in select cities (starting May 23 in New York) dispensing free cans of New Coke for a limited time. If you visit the World of Coca-Cola in Atlanta or make a purchase of $19.85 or more at Coca-Cola Store Las Vegas on select days during the week of June 3, you will have a chance to get New Coke cans as a gift, while supplies last.

Even Pepsi fans (like myself) can appreciate this new promotion and the opportunity to enjoy the sweeter taste of New Coke once again. Season 3 of Stranger Things is scheduled to be released on July 4.
