RD80s News: Priscilla Pointer passed away at 100

Actress Priscilla Pointer passed away on Apr 28, 2025 at the centennial age of 100.  A diverse actress working in stage, then several television shows and movies.  Quite possibly better recognized by her roles in Dallas as Rebecca Wentworth and in the movie Carrie as the mother of the school bully.  Her other familiar roles include: Quincy M.E., A Nightmare on Elm Street 3, Twilight Zone: The Movie, St. Elsewhere, L.A. Law, The Flash, E.R., and Judging Amy.

Born and raised in Clearfield, on the back roads is where I spent most of my days. Chillin' at Beef's or snackin' at Sheetz, with a couple of guys that were always good. We never caused trouble in the neighborhood. Spotting for deer never made us scared, but the fear of running out of gas made us get back there. I pulled 180s and donuts, while my friends and family think I'm nuts. All in all, it's hip to be square.
