RD80s News: Dave Kendall Passes at 68

It has been reported that Dave Kendall has passed away at the age of 68.

The 120 Minutes creator and MTV host who is credited with putting alternative and non-mainstream music into mainstream.  After his time with MTV, he moved on to other television ventures such as hosting the Fox series Music Scoupe, the TV special Woodstock '94, produced and hosted Destination Thailand, and many other network and publication entities.

Born and raised in Clearfield, on the back roads is where I spent most of my days. Chillin' at Beef's or snackin' at Sheetz, with a couple of guys that were always good. We never caused trouble in the neighborhood. Spotting for deer never made us scared, but the fear of running out of gas made us get back there. I pulled 180s and donuts, while my friends and family think I'm nuts. All in all, it's hip to be square.
