Knight Rider, Ghostbusters, And More '80s Properties Featured in New AT&T TV Commercial

As discussed on the latest Memory Jogger Podcast, my pal Wyatt took notice of a new commercial featuring several '80s TV and movie properties. To promote their data free streaming, AT&T's new "Everywhere" ad has a man walking through a city and as he swipes his phone, he experiences several different TV and movie worlds.

Among the cameos in the commercial include George Wendt (Norm) and John Ratzenberger (Cliff) from Cheers, David Hasselhoff (Michael Knight) and K.I.T.T. from Knight Rider, Mr. Stay Puft from Ghostbusters, and the Back to the Future DeLorean Time Machine. The music from the ad also combines several TV and movie themes into one continuous track which I would liken to Mecco's "Pop Goes the Movies" remix.

Ad agencies and marketers continue to tap into '80s culture for TV advertising and although I know it's just a ploy to buy their product, I still never tire of seeing icons like the DeLorean take off into the sky. Check out the new ad below...
