RD80s News-Little House on the Prairie gets a reboot

 

The Little House on the Prairie gets a reboot on Netflix!  The once famous Western themed television show based on the writings of Laura Ingalls Wilder is said to be in the works of a reboot after the show signed off in 1982 after 9 seasons.  2025 marks the 50th anniversary, championed by Dean Butler who played Laura's husband Almonzo "Manny" Wilder, and many of the remained cast members have been conducting tours with fans of the original "prairie" with façades indicating where key buildings once sat.

While many are concerned about rebooting a classic, others are indicating they would like to see a fresh look at an American classic.  Even a few cast members, especially Allison Arngrim who originally played Nellie Olson, is eager to play her onset mother's character, Mrs. Hariet Olson.
