Actor Isiah Whitlock Jr passed away on Dec 30, 2025 at the age of 71 from a unspecified illness.

While known more recently for his work in The Wire and several Spike Lee films, Isiah began his acting career on the 1987 hit Cagney & Lacey, then landing successful roles on Chi-Raq, Eddie, Everyone Says I Love You, Goodfellas, Gremlins 2: The New Batch, Law & Order: New York Undercover, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, NYPD Blue, Red Hook Summer, She Hate Me, The Good Wife, The Residence, The Wire, and many other hit shows and films.
