Jim McBride passed away on January 6, 2026 at the age of 78. Better known to the Country music realm who had written countless songs for Alan Jackson, George Jones, Johnny Cash, Reba McEntire, and many other performers.

Born in Hunstville, AL, it was his dream to enter into the music business with his songs as early as the 1970s. The first hit song was We Let Love Fade Away performed by Leon Everette with I'm Gettin' Into Your Love performed by Ruby Falls charting soon after.
