RD80s News: Lou Holtz Passes at 89

College football coach Lou Holtz has passed away in Orlando, FL at the age of 89.

Originally from West Virginia, he garnered respect for reestablishing the Notre Dame football program, earning a 12-0 season with a National Championship in 1988, and serving an impressive 11 year career with the college.  His career spans 33 years and contributing to 249 wins

Born and raised in Clearfield, on the back roads is where I spent most of my days. Chillin' at Beef's or snackin' at Sheetz, with a couple of guys that were always good. We never caused trouble in the neighborhood. Spotting for deer never made us scared, but the fear of running out of gas made us get back there. I pulled 180s and donuts, while my friends and family think I'm nuts. All in all, it's hip to be square.
