Roger Sweet passed away April 27, 2026 at a nursing facility at the age of 91 from dementia.

Roger is best known for his 1981 creation of He-Man. In the 1970s and 1980s, he worked for Mattel as a toy designer and created other characters within the Masters of the Universe. Before his career with Mattel, Mr. Sweet worked as a designer for Walter Dorwin Teague Associates where he managed projects for major company brands.
