The Weekly Links: VW Takes On A-Ha, Dukes of Heisenberg, Marty McFly Screaming

It's your weekly dose of links to recent news about the past...ummm, yeah that's the ticket! In this edition of The Weekly Links you'll find TV commercials, trading cards, Al Bundy quotes, movie remakes, TV show mashups, crocheted Pee-Wee Herman dolls, and Marty McFly yelling and cursing alot. Ahhhhhhhh, I can't wait!

Top Ten 80s Movie Villains - 411Mania
 - Biff, check. Ed Rooney, check. Cobra Kai, check. The Fratelli Family...whaaaaaaa???

Volkswagon Feeling Carefree Commercial
 - 80s pop culture is a hot commodity today in TV ads. VW gets in the act by remaking the music video of A-Ha's 'Take On Me.' LOVE. IT.

TOPPS Leaks Details for 2014 Garbage Pail Kids Release - Strange Kids Club
 - Can't believe they are still making GPK! Was in the local comic shop last week (had been awhile) and found some GPK Chrome packs sitting at the register. Had no idea they were still around and at $3.50 a pack!

18 of the most memorable Al Bundy quotes - Guyism
 - 'Behind every successful man is a woman who didn't marry me.'

The Dukes of Heisenberg / Breaking Bad: Hazzard County - Citizen Schwartz
 - I sworn to not start watching Breaking Bad until it is completely over and available on Netflix, but seeing this mashup with the Dukes of Hazzard theme makes me want to watch!

THESE '80S KIDS' SHOWS SHOULD BE MOVIES - Hollywood
 - There are a couple that could be successful, but Thundercats and Voltron have already been rebooted as animated shows. I can't imagine live-action working for either of them. Curious to see if they can make the rumored MOTU live-action work or if it will fail...again.

 - My fellow '80s blogger Old School Tim posted something this week that I also enjoy, which is compiling '80s playlists. Check our his top 20 with 'Time' in the title.

Marty McFly Screaming: A Michael J. Fox Supercut - Official Comedy
 - Wow, never realized how much Marty screams...and screams expletives! OK well, maybe I remember the expletives...

10 Essential Stuffed Animals of the 1980s - UnderScoopFire
 - Never had a My Pet Monster, but I remember the rich kid that lived two doors up the street had a Teddy Ruxpin. Always wanted to pop in my Run DMC Raisin' Hell cassette album and see if Teddy could keep up.

Sonic the Hedgehog comes to the Atari 2600 - Polygon
 - Ever wonder what Sonic the Hedgehog would have been like on Atari 2600? Wonder no more...

AmiguruME: Make Cute Crochet People, A Book by Allison Hoffman - Laughing Squid
 - We can all use some more dolls in our life, just ask Dark Helmet from Spaceballs. We might try to pass them as action figures but we all know they double as dolls. Check out these cool celeb crochet dolls that you can make with this new book! I wonder if the complete A-team and GMC van are in there?!
