Recurrent Events April 9 2016: 'Joy of Painting' Now on YouTube, Dave Bautista Joins Blade Runner Sequel, New Darkwing Duck Comic Book

Welcome to your weekly source for retro pop culture news, the Recurrent Events! For those of you who come back each week, you might have noticed I'm a day later than normal. I'm thinking about moving Recurrent Events to Saturday which would give me another day to add to this weekly wrapup. It also may give me a chance to finally start up the accompanying podcast again!

Be on the lookout for some more comic book and game reviews in the near future. I'm determined to post more reviews this year than ever before, so if you have the inside track on a recent book, comic, or game please let me know. I'm also willing to post some guest reviews so send me an email if you've recently delved into retro pop culture and interested in sharing your opinion.

Thanks to the Nerdist, the Video of the Week features the original Masters of the Universe cartoon recut as a reality show. They pull alot of elements from several different shows going all the way back to MTV's The Real World. It's hilarious!!
