Batman 1989 and Sequels Returning To Theaters Beginning May 4

One of the biggest superhero movies of all time is in theaters this weekend. No, I'm not talking about Avengers: Endgame. Tim Burton's Batman is returning to the big screen thanks to Fathom Events marking it's 30th anniversary. For one day only on May 4, you can relive the summer event of 1989 in all it's glory and see "the big du karoo" between Michael Keaton's Batman and Jack Nicholson's Joker.

Click over to Fathom Event's Batman (1989) 30th Anniversary page to find a theater near you. (My local theaters have two screenings!) But wait, there is more Batman! On May 6, Batman Returns makes its theatrical return followed by Batman Forever on May 12 and Batman & Robin on May 14.

More goodies are also coming to celebrate 30 years of Batman. On June 4, the four aforementioned Batman films are getting a 4K Ultra HD release which will also include a Bluray and digital copy. (Preorders are being accepted now on Amazon.) Sideshow Collectibles is also releasing a brand new Batman 1989 statue this summer based on Michael Keaton's likeness.

Be on the lookout for 30th anniversary Batman goodies and see you in the theater this weekend!
