Recurrent Events Update: New James Cameron 'Terminator' Film, New Night Ranger Album, 'Super Mario Run' Android Launch In March

Welcome to the Recurrent Events weekly news update for retro pop culture headlines, links, videos, and more! I gave away a G.I. Joe prize pack this week on Twitter and next week be on the lookout for another exclusive giveaway on Facebook. This time the prize pack theme will be video games so make sure you've liked the RD80s page so you don't miss it.

I've been dabbling again into graphic design and my most recent inspiration came from a recent Retroist podcast. I decided to give some love to a forgotten cartoon and designed a t-shirt for Rubik the Amazing Cube based on the original logo! Take advantage of the Teespring campaign before I switch it over to RedBubble which will cost a little bit more. I'm also working on a Double Dragon design and another one of my favorite cartoons that has been lost into obscurity.

Here are some recent RD80s articles posted in cased you missed them:
I make it no secret that I am easily amused and this Super Mario Lego Diorama that Sploid showed me this week was right up my alley. I especially loved that it was just a simple hand crank that made this pipe dream come to life!
